In September 2007, groundbreaking tests were conducted on the AIR-O-VAC range of air valves at the aeronautical systems division of the CSIR. Regarding these tests, ERV marketing executive, Clinton Maree, comments, "The extent and nature of these tests have never been done before. The test results, we believe are going to raise some eyebrows in the valve and civil engineering fraternity."
